PEN Fuck Ups
Together we learn, share, and grow, even from our worst moments.
Inspired by Fuckup Nights, the global movement that has gathered 20,000+ stories of failure across 70+ countries.
What it is
Three members take the floor for 7 minutes each to tell one true story of a business failure: what happened, what it cost, and what they would do differently. Thirty minutes of open Q&A follow, where the room digs into each story together. Real stories, real consequences, real learning.
Because sharing is how this community grows. PEN runs on learning, sharing, and growing together, and sharing goes beyond showing up. It means opening up. When you tell the room about the failure you have been quietly carrying, you become more than a business card. You become a person people genuinely know. The entrepreneur who stands up and says "here was my worst moment" creates the kind of meaningful connection that small talk never delivers.
And for thirty minutes, you share the floor with the whole room leaning in, because your story is their story. Someone in that room made the same mistake last year and kept it to themselves. Someone else stands one bad decision away from making it right now, and your story lands just in time. In PEN, one person's failure becomes everyone's practical learning. That is the whole point of the community.
PEN is brand new, and its culture is still being written. The members who take the mic first will shape what this group becomes: a place where people perform success, or a place where we learn from each other honestly, together. Seven minutes of truth from you helps decide which one.
Because this is where ideas turn into action. Three cautionary tales from people running businesses in the same city, the same economy, and the same culture you live in, lessons you will never find in a course. Then thirty minutes of group Q&A, where the learning deepens and the connections form. You will laugh, you will wince, you will write things down, and you will leave with practical takeaways you can apply to your business this week.
- 01A real failure, with real consequences
- 02Tell us what it cost, in money, time, or reputation
- 03End with what you would do differently
- 04What is shared in the room stays in the room
We take only three presenters per session. If you have a story, the mic is waiting.
